HIKE!
I love Utah. One of my favorite parts of this great state is the Mountains! Having lived here my entire life i can honestly say that I miss them every time i leave, even if its just for a vacation. Now that the weather has decided that we don't need to have a monsoon every single day, Ash and I have tried to find time to play in the mountains as often as we can. Here is one of our recent adventures up to Bell Canyon falls. Even though they are right here close by I had never been before so Ash showed me the way and we had a blast. Its not a bad hike at all so anyone who has never been I highly recommend taking an afternoon or evening and getting up there before the summer is over. It only took us about an hour and 15 minutes to get to the falls and we weren't pushing very hard at all. Its a quick get-a-way and it will for sure clear your mind!!!! Here are some pictures to help you get out of the house... Mikey I'm talking to you too.
...Here is Ash at the start of the trail...
About 15 minutes up the trail you come to Bell Canyon Reservoir.
With all the rain it was full and very green!
...Some of the views from the trail...
...Up at the falls it was coming down so hard we couldn't get to a good picture spot...
...For those of you who are wondering if I was even on the hike, here ya go...
...Back to the good pictures...
...On our way back down...
...As we came out of the trail I looked back and this is what i saw and I had to have a Picture...
And that was our hike! The whole thing only took us about three and a half hours and that includes our 50 minute stop at the falls and lots of picture stops. Again if you ever get bored and have an afternoon free you should take a quick hike!! And before I go I just want everyone to know that this, my first ever blog post is dedicated to Karli Davies (my fellow UTE and best/favorite sister in-law ever!) and the hike was dedicated to Patrick C. Davies (the Ultimate Hiker). Thanks for taking a look! Hope you enjoyed cause we sure did!!!

OUR HAWAIIAN SURPRISE
We just got back from Maui yesterday, it was such a fun trip! The weather was perfect the whole time we were there and our hotel was awesome. We had quite the unexpected surprise when we finally arrived at our hotel in hawaii. We opened our luggage to start putting everything away and I found Karli in my suit case!! We had a lot of people tell us before we left that they wanted to come with and that we could just pack them in our suit case, but Karli actually did it! At first we were a little unsure about having her on our honeymoon with us, but we ended up having a blast with Karli. As anyone that knows Karli would tell you, its always a good time when she is around!
Finding Karli in my luggage
Karli was a little exhausted from the long flight so we let her rest on our bed for a while. She watched scamper the penguin and ordered lots of room service. She liked not having to make the popcorn for once.
We wanted to get some snacks and see more of the island so we drove into Kihei. I let Karli take the wheel for a while, she loved driving the jeep!
The next morning we went for a walk down the path that ran along the beach behind the resorts. We let Karli tag along and she loved the beautiful views of the ocean.
After our walk we decided to lay out by the pool. Karli was very good to apply her sunscreen, our mom will be so proud!
On Monday we had a great time playing on the beach at our hotel. Karli loved playing in the hot sand and laying out under the Hawaiian sun.
She had a great time playing in the waves with Nate and running along the beach with Ashley.
Later that night we treated her to shopping and dinner at The Shops at Wailea. She loved the designer stores and she discovered that she loves pasta! Yay!
Karli loved getting free cups of pineapple at the pool every day and on our last day there we decided to sneak her into the adult pool. She loved the cool lounge chairs that were shaped like leaves.
One of Karli's favorite things about the trip was the watching the sunset every night. We had a great view from our balcony. She also loved all the smoothies and her favorite flavor was coconut.
(Yes thats Harry Potter in the background!)
Hawaii was amazing and we loved having Karli with us. Thanks for coming along Kars!
